The MCAT (Medical College Admission Test) is offered by the AAMC and is a required exam for admission to medical schools in the USA and Canada. So although the test I took seemed trivia-like and annoying with low yield content, the scoring system ensured it was fair in the end, I would say. I think two things really helped me: 1) Luck I remember guessing right on a few questions I looked up later (as well as wrong on some), and 2) Remember that these tests are curved! If everyone does poorly on a certain test, then the AAMC will adjust the scores upward to ensure some people still get 520s, 515s, etc. By definition, if you master high-yield stuff, you’ll maximize your chances of getting a good score since, although every test differs a bit, that content shows up more often than not. Once you master that, then you can start studying low-yield stuff, but don’t stress yourself out over all the super specific stuff.
